After the Second World War in Turin, in the popular village of Barriera di Milano, Calcagno was born, an artisan chocolate factory that carves out a space and a prestigious image in the competitive circle of Turin's chocolatiers in the fervor of the post-war reconstruction.
In 2018, Aldo Frezzato and Franco Rossini, proponents of this statement, decided that the time had come to pass the hand and it was here that we accepted the challenge of taking up their witness.
Thus was born Calcagno1946 which continues the activity in respect of tradition with an eye on innovation.
In the new production site in Collegno, old machinery has been recovered and brought to new life; the ancient recipes are flanked by new products and modern production concepts.
Our goal is to do business through chocolate, but also to pursue a philosophy of conscious work focused on the concept of shared well-being.
In our laboratory we produce and transform a range of products that have characterized the Calcagno brand for several years.
In particular, we are oriented to all the specialties that have the gentle three-lobed round hazelnut as the characterizing ingredient: gianduiotti, spreads, hazelnuts and cremini.
These are accompanied by dragees, small pralines with hazelnuts, fruit or cereals inside, and a selection of traditional and spiced bars.
